Some of the best ideas stem from occasions when things go wrong!

Playing with a failed cylinder, the story from an ex-barista friend was on my mind; when people ordered a “trim flat white”, she’d use whatever milk was in the milk jug. I pondered: how many spouts can a jug have? This spout could be… full fat… this one trim… this one skim… the 3 spout jug evolved, and along with it, a set of four different spout options.

The jugs suggest new ways of interacting with a jug, and were selected for the 59th National Ceramics New Zealand Exhibition in 2018.
