Loosely inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s story of the Little Prince’s drawing of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant (not a hat, as grown-ups saw it), I wanted to explore the movement of a cube through a cylinder.

A simple concept, but it took a year for the idea to resolve and technically figure out how to make it. The trio was a finalist in the Portage 19 Award Exhibition at Te Uru Gallery November 2019 – February 2020.
